Job Description:

This project involved modifications to the front entrance of the Air Mobility Warfare Center to improve the identification of the facility, augment access security, and specifically, to accommodate a guard station. The work consisted of the installation of a glass-enclosed vestibule beneath the existing entrance soffit and concrete canopy, complete with security controlled entrance doors, walk-off mats, perimeter railing, new metal panel ceiling, and a casework guard station. Also included was a bench, sprinkler piping and heads, perimeter convention heating system, forced air heating and air conditioning system, electrical power and lighting, and fire alarm device installation and annunciator relocation to guard station. The existing concrete slab-on-grade paving at the entrance plaza was replaced. The work also included the replacement of the pre-cast cap on the masonry bench located at the perimeter of the entrance plaza, as well as the installation of an accessible curb-cuts, lighting bollards, and flagpoles with flush-mounted ground-set lighting on the entrance plaza.
